Creating films for positive social change
At the heart of my work is my passion for creating video that can drive positive social change. This was something I was interested in even before I picked up a camera and started my journey as a videographer in the city of London. It’s wonderful to combine these two passions. Over the last 15 years I’ve created films for charities that focus on poverty, war, climate change and animal cruelty. Films that can make a change for good are our favourite kind of films to produce.
Recent charity impact film projects
Charity name: In Kind Direct
Project: We worked with In Kind Direct to create a powerful documentary-style charity film showcasing the real impact of product giving across communities in the UK. Working alongside The Little Edi Foundation, the film tells the stories of the people and families supported through access to essential everyday products, highlighting how simple items many of us take for granted can make a meaningful difference to people’s lives.
The challenge was to create an uplifting and authentic film that focused not on poverty alone, but on dignity, community and the positive change created when organisations come together.
Charity name: Welcome to the UK
Project:We created a documentary-style impact film for Welcome to the UK, showcasing how their support services help newcomers build confidence, learn English and find a sense of belonging. Working with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences, the film focused on the power of community and the positive difference that support and connection can make.
The challenge was to tell powerful personal stories with sensitivity, working with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences while creating an uplifting film that celebrated belonging, community and the positive impact of Welcome to the UK’s support.
