Videographer goals for 2024

Videographers all over London will be gearing up for a new year of making films and working on video productions. Last year was a thriving year for making new video content and one of our busiest yet. Taking some time for the Christmas break naturally means some time to reflect and think about what will be coming up in the year to come.

Your videographer goals for 2024

So what goals will you be setting for 2024?  Every year of the 15 that I’ve been making films I always look to improve my process in one way or another.  Maybe you want to focus more on pre-production or maybe you want to reach some new clients in a specific video field.  Whatever your goals are it’s always nice to have something to work towards.  In all honestly, I gave up setting specific goals a while back and focused on improving my work purely from the angle of someone passionate about video production.  Once you have that passion, you really don’t need to set goals.  The want is simply inside you make incredible films and strive to do the best you can.

So how can you improve your work?

There are of course many ways to improve your filmmaking work.  For me the main ones are storytelling, visually creating something amazing through the use of camera, lenses and lighting and then client understanding.  The last one should not be underestimated as at the end of the day, as long as the client is happy then you’ve done your job well.  One thing I love about videography is that it’s constantly changing and evolving, a bit like the world we live in.  As a result, there’s an enjoyable challenge to stay at the forefront and even innovate yourself.  As a feudal taht never stands still, its one taht I will never tire of and always embrace and loose myself in.
