Rishi – 4k music video
I ended up spending yesterday shooting a music video for a talented new young artist called Rishi. It was definitely one of the biggest projects I have worked on to date, having a gaffer, DIT and three runners working alongside me. Shooting the performance and narrative elements in the same day, you really do need a full crew to speed the process up whilst retaining a high end look. This was the first time I’ve had a client request 4k and we shot the video in 4k using the Sony FS700 and Odyssey 7q. It’s always a pleasure working on larger sets, mainly because you have the opportunity to work with all the right tools and a larger crew. Lighting wise we rented in a full size 4 bank Kino Flo with daylight and tungsten bulbs, 2 x 650 arris, 3 x 150 Dedos and a Lowel Rifa 650 with chimera. Also my gaffer Ryan always comes equip with a full selection of gels and filters. I haven’t had a chance to look through all the rushes yet but you can see a couple of still frames from the performance element on this page.
